MARCH 8 – International Women's Rights Day – Gabrielle Rul Dedicates Her Art to the Struggle of Iranian Women Through a Charity Sale
50 scarves offered in a charity sale, an animated short film, and a poem to support the struggle of Iranian women.
On the occasion of International Women's Rights Day, March 8, visual artist Gabrielle Rul renews her support for the Woman, Life, Freedom movement and launches an artistic and charitable initiative to pay tribute to the fight of Iranian women.
A Committed Artistic Gesture
Gabrielle Rul has created 50 limited-edition cotton scarves, with a portion of the net proceeds donated to organizations working for the rights and freedom of Iranians (Amnesty International, Center for Human Rights in Iran, etc.). Conceived as an act of sisterhood and poetic resistance, these pieces feature the lion and sun symbols in the colors of Iran. The scarves are produced by Atelier Insho, printed in France, using Oeko-Tex + GOTS certified fabric.
Beyond the charity sale, the project unfolds across several artistic mediums to raise awareness and educate:
- An animated short film directed by Gabrielle Rul, bringing to life the drawing featured on the cotton scarves.
- An original poem accompanying the film, written and narrated in English by author Anna Majidson, narrated in French by singer Solann. A Persian version (likely to remain anonymous) is currently in production.
